Metronome Inc. was founded in 2005 by Lesley Mendenhall to provide publicity, booking and management services in North America and Europe for world renown harpist, Alice Giles. After attending a masterclass given by Giles, Ms. Mendenhall was asked to coordinate Alice’s 2005 Summer Harp Course. During this time the two of them discovered they shared a mutual love for the harp and a number of similar goals. These goals include a desire to elevate the exposure of this magnificent instrument to a new level and wider audience, by commissioning new works, expanding the boundaries of the repertoire with exciting collaborative partners, and providing teaching accessibility to all levels of students.

Pianist and Steinway artist Halida Dinova chose Metronome, Inc. as her exclusive US agent in the Fall of 2005. Introduced via mutual friend composer Dennis Eberhard with whom she had recently collaborated on a new piano concerto, Ms. Dinova shares the same level of passion and devotion to her work and her instrument as well as a strong commitment to educational programs for youth.

Champions of rare and interesting 20th Century works as well as a dedication to the classics, Ms. Mendenhall, Ms. Giles and Ms. Dinova are committed to artistic growth and renewal, educational outreach, and new ways to communicate this passion to their audiences.

Prior to founding Metronome Inc., Ms. Mendenhall worked for a number of years in the entertainment industry as a freelance Road Manager. Involved from concept and design through implementation and post-production of touring shows, her major responsibilities included management of all legal and financial aspects for the show tour as well as advance logistics and on-site production personnel management.

Prior to her years in the entertainment industry, Ms. Mendenhall was Director of Administration and Controller at a “Big 8” CPA firm. She received her BA in Music, Opera Performance, from Washington University in St. Louis with post-graduate study in finance and accounting, and entertainment law.

Ms. Mendenhall lives with her husband Tom and their ten kitties in the red rock country of southwest Utah.
