5th KIOLOA SUMMER HARP CAMP

Course will be held at the Kioloa Coastal Campus, Australia National University.

Alice Giles will be holding an Australian summer harp course for the fifth year in 2008. Set in idyllic coastal surroundings (near Bawley Point on the NSW South Coast) 30 mins. north of Batemans Bay; the course includes daily half-hour individual lessons in an open master class setting, with some ensemble playing, and an opportunity to workshop on aspects of harp playing such as relaxation, sound production and repertoire. There will be an informal concert on January 19th.

The course is open to all levels of proficiency. Accommodation are in twin share rooms in newly renovated self-contained cottages with their own kitchen, dining and bathroom facilities. Catering for dinner is included for five days (incl. Jan. 12th). Accommodation is possible on application for accompanying parents and partners. Walking distance to beach.

Participants should bring their own harps if possible, or arrange to share. Please contact Alice Giles prior to registration to enquire about the use of a rental harp (limited availability). Harp music, strings and accessories will be available from HarpLore at the camp.

Participants:
$900 incl. GST - including all tuition and participation, 8 nights accommodation (twin share rooms) and 5 days catered dinner.
(Arrival Sunday the 12th after 2pm; Departure Monday the 20th before 11am)

Private tuition available by arrangement on 20th, 21st, 22nd of January.

Accompanying parents/partners:
$390 incl. GST - including 8 nights accommodation (twin share rooms) and 5 days catered dinner.
